Juan Galloway currently works full-time as President and urban missionary with New York City Relief (www.reliefbus.org) and The Relief Bus. The Relief Buses are mobile outreach units serving the poor and homeless and connecting them to help and hope.
Rev. Juan and Rev. Tracy Galloway were listed in Charisma magazine, August 2005 issue, as two of the 30 leaders under the age of 40 shaping the emerging church of the future. Juan is an ordained minister with the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel. Juan and his wife Tracy have four children: River, Hailey, Corban and Connor.
Juan began a feeding ministry to the homeless and an outreach band to punk rockers and runaways while attending Christ for the Nations Bible College back in 1989. Upon graduation he began working for Street Church Academy helping gang members earn their G.E.D.’s. Over a ten year time span, Juan worked as a youth pastor for the Assemblies of God in northern California and with the Foursquare Gospel Church at The Gathering Place Church in Hackettstown, New Jersey; ministered as an evangelist and worship leader for churches, camps, conferences and retreats.
He has led teams of people on missions trips to cities around the world such as Bogota, Colombia; Ensenada and Tijuana, Mexico; New Ross, Waterford, Cork, Kilkenny and Galway, Ireland, Ethiopia, Uganda and Finland.
Juan and his wife Tracy founded CityTribe Church, a church for the homeless, addicts, prostitutes and poor in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Juan went on to assist in the planting of two more churches for the homeless and The Street Hip Hop Church which Juan pioneered in 2006.
He is an accomplished musician, singer, songwriter and worship leader. Juan led the Christian band, Beggars and Prophets that performs regularly around the NYC metro area. He has recorded many projects including his latest praise and worship CD, Live At The Tribe!
Juan has authored 28, The Street Bible and God’s Beggars with a foreword by Jack Hayford. He has also developed several gospel tracts/booklets for use in urban ministry including Homeless Harry and The Lonely Lady. Juan has written articles that have been published in Charisma Magazine, Advance Magazine, The City Magazine, Tri-State Voice, and The Love Express
